Diljá Þorvaldsdóttir (she/her) uses various mediums to explore shifts in perspective, alternate realities, and queerness. At the moment she works predominantly with textiles.
Diljá graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from The Iceland University of the Arts in 2021. She has shown nationally and internationally, and received a travel grant from the Iceland Arts Association to attend a residency in Philadelphia in 2022, where she first became interested in textile as a means of examination of gender bias and a form of painting.
Diljá lives in downtown Reykjavik with her partner Sadie Cook. She and Sadie currently run Gallery Kannski. She is on the board of the Textile Association of Iceland.
